In October, we informed you that the sale of HSBC Continental Europe’s retail banking business in France would take effect on 1 January 2024.
In France, HSBC Continental Europe is focusing on its corporate, investment banking and markets activities, complemented by a targeted offering in European private banking, insurance, and asset management.
The services we provide remain unchanged, except for our branch services that will gradually become unavailable as from 18 December 2023. If you are using our products and services in our French retail branches, please be aware of the changes listed in the below table ‘Branch services permanently discontinued’.
In addition, due to technical constraints related to the transfer, some services will be temporarily suspended at the end of the year. You can find the list of impacted services in the table ‘Temporary service interruption’ so that you can anticipate and manage your operations efficiently. We apologise for any inconvenience the temporary interruption of our services may cause.
